A high stakes competition is held where participants show off their skills and win awesome prizes. For those of a less competitive nature, three photo booths are available for shots, and the drawer’s garden is a great place to meet artists and other cosplayers! Besides the main competition, the Cosplay stage is dedicated to running events, games, and contests throughout the duration of the event. A cosplay repair station is also available, which doubles as a fantastic place to learn new tricks and techniques from experienced cosplayers!
The Campus is an educational area, featuring talks and displays on many subjects such as protection of minors, the history of gaming, societal influences, and much more. This area is supported by many educational institutions, as well as private companies.
Meanwhile, the indoor area will feature a large zone to chill out while demoing various games and new technology! More so, a special RC racing track is available, as is Laser Tag! An outdoor beach area is available for those who would like to relax, and Gamescom is proudly hosting the 20th Lexus COS Cup, Germany’s Pro Skating Competition. Red Bull will also be in attendance, bringing with them the X-fighters FMX demo show! 2017 will also include the Gamescom festival, featuring a vast variety of well-known musical talent, from the Cologne area, and all around Germany.
