We are in the midst of convention season, and Delta H Con in Houston, Texas is right around the
corner. Delta H Con has been a fixture in southern Texas' otaku scene for eleven years, opening its
doors to con-goers for the first time in May of 2008. While it has a long climb ahead to become
as popular as its big brother, San Japan, it has been steadily growing in size and
is hosting more con-goers than some of the popular conventions in the Midwest, including
Matsuricon- one of the most popular anime conventions in Ohio. This year, Delta H Con is set to
take place from July 13th through the 15th, and the weekend event lineup looks like an absolute
blast.

Over the course of the weekend, Delta H Con has a number of workshops and fun events lined up for
its guests, including a Hearthstone Fireside Event and a number of cosplay panels led by local
cosplay stars such as Prodigal Son Cosplay and Viverra Cosplay. There are other events, too- and
lots of them. From gaming panels and autograph sessions to cosplay-making guides and support groups, the list
of panels to attend and sights to see is simply staggering. And it ought to be. Whether attendees
visit for a single day or the entire weekend, their schedules will definitely be packed. Avid
gamers, otakus, fans of podcasts and webcomics alike will undoubtedly find more than enough to
explore within their interests. The scope of topics covered at Delta H Con this year is broad,
to say the least- all the better for everyone going!

The event list is definitely nice, but the guest list this year is great. Several fixtures of the
local cosplay communities will be in attendance, in addition to such voice actors
as Brittany Lauda (best known as the voice of Ichigo from Darling in the FranXX), David Vincent (the voice of
Phinks from HunterXHunter) and Jamie Marchi (known for her as Cana Alberona in Fairy Tale). The
impressive guest list is reason enough to attend this convention, especially if you're a
Houstonian. These stars are hosting several panels all weekend long, too, so there will be plenty
of time to see them.

With so many events going on, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but Delta H Con does a great job of
keeping its events organized. Schedules for each day are easily accessible on the con website or via their app and
events are organized by location, so attendees have a good idea of what to expect ahead of time.
Room and board at the Marriott Westchase, the site of the convention, looks to be filling up fast;
thankfully, however, Houston has no shortage of places to stay. Whatever your plans are for the
weekend- if you're just going for a day or if you're staying the entire weekend- get ready. Delta
H Con is going to be amazing.
